MEMBER OWNS SET: YES     MEMBER HAS BUILT SET: YES

FIRST IMPRESSION | Score: 9

The best version of the Lambda class shuttle is of course set 10212 from the Star Wars Ultimate Collector's Series. But if you don't have that set or don't want to spend that much money on acquiring that set, then this 75094 set is the best alternative to be had. It is both playable and displayable which is a quality I always like in a set.

UNIQUE PARTS | Score: 8

The set has 3 named minifigs: Princess Leia, Han Solo and Chebacca, in their Endor outfits. There are also two unnamed Endor Rebel Troopers included.  Unfortunately Luke Skywalker misses from this set. It's good enough but not perfect.

PLAYABILITY/BUILD EXPERIENCE | Score: 9

Building the 75094 set was enjoyable and seeing the final result was satisfying. It really does look like a Lambda class shuttle and the design is well done.

The finished model is a bit wobbly while standing parked because the centre of weight is slightly behind the model, making it easy to drop backwards if you push it a little on the nose. In flight mode the model looks at its best and very swooshable.

VALUE FOR MONEY | Score: 7

This set is priced rather high at €109,99 (in The Netherlands) or €99,99 (in Germany). For that price it's not really good value for money. The set doesn't contain any unique Lego bricks, except for the minifigs which have some unique prints exclusive to this set.

While still in production and available at the time of writing this set can be bought at a nice discount from amongst others Amazon. Around €70 is possible which is a decent discount and making the set much better value for money.

THEME POPULARITY | Score: 9

Lego Star Wars is the most popular theme, and this set is from the third movie of the Original Trilogy. This will ensure a lasting interest in this set, provided LEGO doesn't release a (better) remake of the Lambda class shuttle. With Disney moving forward to new Star Wars movies, it is not likely that a remake will come out any time soon so an investment in this set (one of the best Lego Star Wars non-UCS sets from 2015) has good outlooks.

EXCLUSIVITY | Score: 3

This set is widely available and sold at any Toy store which has a Lego (Star Wars) section.

PACKAGING | Score: 8

The box is on the smaller side for a set at this price-level, which makes storing multiple boxes of 75094 easier than if it was packaged in a bigger box.

The downside is that the perceived value by potential buyers might be less favourable. When people pay a premium over (original) RRP they want to receive something that looks worth the money.

GROWTH POTENTIAL | Score: 8

This set may very well retire by end of 2016. Since there is no refresh coming up and the iconic status of the Lambda class shuttle in the Original Trilogy movies, I foresee good growth potential for this set.

A minor threat to growth potential is the release of other types of shuttles based on the Episode VII (Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle, 2015) and Rogue One (Krennic's Imperial Shuttle, 2016) movies. Those shuttle Lego sets are similar in size and price, but lack the iconic status that the Lambda Class shuttle has.

DISPLAY QUALITY | Score: 8

This set does look good on display. Not as good as the 10212 UCS version,  but still quite good.

It also matches well with another set from the Return of the Jedi movie: Ewok Village.

CONCLUSION & FINAL ANALYSIS | Score: 8

I give this set a solid 8 because of the iconic status of the Lambda Class shuttle, a good design of the set that is both playable/swooshable and displayable, and some nice exclusive minifigs.
