FIRST IMPRESSION | Score: 6

Smaller box with some action on it. I was very keen on the AAT itself but the inlcusion of Jar-Jar Binks almost made me pass it up. But who doesn't love a tank??

UNIQUE PARTS | Score: 7

Smallish set with more of the light unbalanced droids. Seeing plenty of them in larger sets. Jar-Jar Binks is included who hasnt seen much Lego action. Either you love him or hate him. He gets a Gungan energy shield.

PLAYABILITY/BUILD EXPERIENCE | Score: 9

Building the tank was a lot of fun. A quick afternoon's work with some very clever designs once again. Good use of Technics and liberal use of curved pieces. Not many stickers to complicate matters. The turret is fully articulated and can point at anything in your display cabinet. Two droid compartments gives you some storage options and poseability for play and display. Looks quite accurate to the movie models.

VALUE FOR MONEY | Score: 8

Low price option and for the excellent and fun model it provides you, nothing to complain about. Lower brick count sets are usually more expensive per brick but the effect is well worth it.

THEME POPULARITY | Score: 8

Star Wars Episode I: Still quite popular ,especially with the newer episodes featuring massive interest. Not the most popular sub-category of Star Wars but notable nonetheless.

EXCLUSIVITY | Score: 5

A new model so these are still available on the shelves.

PACKAGING | Score: 5

Small box, Decent artwork...unfortunately that ridiculour Jar-Jar Binks features prominantly... Perhaps if you like the character you'd feel more positive about the packaging.

GROWTH POTENTIAL | Score: 7

This is another model many startup collectors might miss until its too late. There should be moderate potential here. Its cheap, its new and its available. Get it while its hot. Closer to EOL a collector may realise they dont have this one yet and they will be sorry. Iconic model for the new trilogy.

DISPLAY QUALITY | Score: 8

The AAT's turret is fully posable and the set has 2 hidden compartments to display Droid soldiers. On a flat surface it displays very well. If you dont want Jar-Jar Binks in the picture, bin him. One of the few models that is not a ship so unique among very impressive models. Otherwise he can take part in the action.

CONCLUSION & FINAL ANALYSIS | Score: 8

Very fun model to build and play with. Very clever construction. Worthy addition to any Star Wars collection.
