FIRST IMPRESSION | Score: 7

Once again, a set that I lusted after ever since the Wolf rumors started spreading... Iconic ship for the new trilogy. The box was longer than expected and looked imposing on the shelf. Parts in a decent amount of bags spilled out along and promised for an engaging build. Lots of stuff happening on the box and I couldnt wait to start it off.

UNIQUE PARTS | Score: 8

Lots of tool parts and droids. Even a commander droid which I havent got yet. A naboo pilot was included. Not too many of those floating around. Also an Anakin minifigure with non-movable short legs. Also not too many of those. And of course the unbiquitous R2-D2.

PLAYABILITY/BUILD EXPERIENCE | Score: 8

This is one of my favourite sets too swoosh around with. The extended tail and engine sections just gives you the sense that this thing is built for speed. Naboo ships are very very sleek in the movies and its incredibly difficult to get a sense of that on a small/medium sized model. the design accomplishes this reasonably well but you dont get a sense of complete slickness, especially with the wings.

Building it was fun but a little less engaging than other sets. The additional elements such as a toolbox, motorised supply cart, a ladder and a refeuling station definitely made it more interesting and more playable. It also came with a parking stand.

VALUE FOR MONEY | Score: 8

This is a cheaper set and you end up with plenty of minifigures, additional play parts and a decent sized model. Not bad at all I would say.

THEME POPULARITY | Score: 9

Star wars is extremely popular, although this set came from the New trilogy, slightly less popular with the hardcore fans but for those that do expand their horisons to include it in their Star Wars canon, a must have.

EXCLUSIVITY | Score: 6

A new set from an older movie. this should move fast and leave people who procrastinated in getting it very disappointed. Still new. But I'd expect this to fly off the shelves.

PACKAGING | Score: 8

Good sized, colorful and detailed box. Stores easily. Good sized manual thats bound with staples. Star Wars and Disney marking clearly visible. Lots of action on the back of the box.

GROWTH POTENTIAL | Score: 7

Not the most popular sub-genre of Star wars but its still there. One of the most striking and recognisable ships of the franchise. I believe this one will be missed by many and sought after once they wake up.

DISPLAY QUALITY | Score: 9

Excellent displayability. It comes with a sort of a stand that lifts it slightly of a surface. Colorful with much less grey visible. Lots of action that can be built around it to showcase a scene.

CONCLUSION & FINAL ANALYSIS | Score: 8

A fun and good looking set that has a lot going for it other than just the model.
