FIRST IMPRESSION | Score: 8

What stands out in this set is that for the low retail price, you're getting 4 minifigures.  Not only is this a nice number for any small set, but since it's part of the Star Wars theme, it makes it ideal for easily building large armies of storm troopers.  The clone walker isn't impressive, but for such a small set I wouldn't have high hopes for a complex vehicle build.

UNIQUE PARTS | Score: 6

The minifigures in this set aren't unique, but you stil get a variety for the small retail price tag.  My only complaint is the armor on one of the regular clones.  It's large, bulky and the shape of it just makes it harder to move into certain vehicles.  If I were only displaying the figures, the armor would definitely be scrapped.  Many other sets featuring storm troopers give the standard black heads, but this set gives heads with printed faces, making them ideal for mixing with other sets/armies.

PLAYABILITY/BUILD EXPERIENCE | Score: 3

Personally, I would only buy this set if I needed the minifigures for an army.  The clone walker build only took a few minutes, was too simple and there was little enjoyment in building it.  It isn't steady when standing, which makes it a terrible display model.  There are missles that can be launched, but they lock into the clone walker and I can't imagine actually trying to shoot these more than a few inches.  They seem to be more for "appearances" than for actual playability.

VALUE FOR MONEY | Score: 8

Considering the minifigures easily sell for a few dollars each, finding this set at retail is an easy way to make a profit.  The clone walker pieces are pretty much useless, but they could be used as filler for other sets/creations, so I would consider them a "bonus" in this set with the minifigures being the sole reason for purchase.

THEME POPULARITY | Score: 9

Star Wars is easily one of the most popular and stable Lego theme.  It will not be falling anytime soon, which will ensure that the value of this set remaints steady for years to come.

EXCLUSIVITY | Score: 5

These were pretty common when they were released with no difficulty finding them in stores.

PACKAGING | Score: 7

The box is simple and glossy, but what stands out is that all 4 minifigures are blown up on the back of the box.  This lets you see the details of the figures before you buy the set.

GROWTH POTENTIAL | Score: 8

I don't anticipate this set to grow any more than it already has, except for keeping up with inflation.  However, it's already grown substantially from it's retail price in the years since its release, so if you come across any in stores, they're well worth picking up for resale!

DISPLAY QUALITY | Score: 7

The minifigures are great for display since they can be combined with others to create large armies at a reasonable price.  The clone walker doesn't diplay very well since the legs are unstable and have to be in a certain position to remain upright.

CONCLUSION & FINAL ANALYSIS | Score: 8

Overall, this is an excellent set, but only for the minifigures.  This is highly recommended for investors (assuming you can find more at retail) and for those trying to build large storm trooper armies without spending a fortune.  This set will likely maintain value throughout the years, even the used ones, so it's safe to open and play with without worrying about losing a significant amount.
