FIRST IMPRESSION | Score: 8

The Grand Emporium gives off a great first impression with it's corner design and beautiful revolving door and the shop sign on the roof.

UNIQUE PARTS | Score: 8

Quite a number of mini-figs included (including mannequins of a groom and bride), though not the most exclusive. The tan bricks are lovely, great for those wishing to build other MOCs with it (as mentioned in another review).

PLAYABILITY/BUILD EXPERIENCE | Score: 9

This was a great modular building to build as there are a number of cool micro-builts including the escalators, scooter and ice-cream stand as well as the cashier counter with all the perfumes laid out on the G/F.

VALUE FOR MONEY | Score: 8

Similarly priced as other modulars, so I would rate this as fair value for money.

THEME POPULARITY | Score: 9

Modular buildings have so far been a great hit, and I think the Grand Emporium is one of the top sets (Green Grocer still takes the cake).

EXCLUSIVITY | Score: 8

I believe this set is still in production so not at all exclusive at the moment. However, given it's released date of 2010, this can very well be retired this year or early next year (i.e. 2015). So for collectors/investors alike, if you have a soft-spot for modulars, would be wise to pick up a few.

PACKAGING | Score: 7

Nothing special regarding the packaging.

GROWTH POTENTIAL | Score: 9

I still strongly believe that the modulars have great upside potential, and wouldn't be surprised if Grand Emporium end up to be selling for over USD 800 when it retires.

DISPLAY QUALITY | Score: 9

This is a great set for display. The warm tan bricks combined with that corner design is great showing off to visitors. Looks even better with another modulars next to it as it creates a real street scene. I think LEGO has done a superb job so far as each modular set is quite different but at the same time ties in together very well.

CONCLUSION & FINAL ANALYSIS | Score: 8

Go pick up a set while you still can........ whether you're a casual LEGO collector that buy sets to build or AFOLs that only look at these sets as investments.... you won't be dissapointed.
