MEMBER OWNS SET: YES     MEMBER HAS BUILT SET: YES

FIRST IMPRESSION | Score: 7

A small and simple set, but with lots of creative potential.  A spaceship manned by a policeman faces a single space alien with a blaster.  The ship is simple with few movable pieces, but does have a few weapons.

UNIQUE PARTS | Score: 8

The lime green alien head is unique to this set, though you can get the same alien head in orange in two other sets.  The minifigure head isn't unique, but only belongs to 4 sets.  Since the set is quite small, it's nice that you get two minifigures with it.

PLAYABILITY/BUILD EXPERIENCE | Score: 6

This set is extremely simple to build with the ship being the only significant building part.  It's fairly straightforward and can easily be done in under 15 minutes.  With few moveable pieces, the ship build wasn't really exciting.

VALUE FOR MONEY | Score: 7

Currently, a new version of this set is worth almost double the retail price with the used price being slightly higher than retail.  Since at this time, the set is only a few years old, I would expect it to continue growing, though fairly slowly.  This isn't likely going to attract many investors, but certainly will not be a drain on a collector.

THEME POPULARITY | Score: 8

The space theme has been around for over 40 years, though the sets have changed significantly over the years.  This follows the same basic space concept, but brings the addition of alien minifigures rather than human "bad guys".

EXCLUSIVITY | Score: 4

This set wasn't part of any special release, so it was fairly easy to get upon release.

PACKAGING | Score: 7

The packaging is small and simple, but effectively shows the fun potential of the policeman battling the alien.

GROWTH POTENTIAL | Score: 7

I would expect to see this set continue to grow slowly over time, but not significantly enough for investors to stockpile.

DISPLAY QUALITY | Score: 6

The blaster on the alien makes him quite top heavy and difficult to display without being on a plate.  While it looks nice on a shelf, the simple white of the ship makes it blend in with other sets on diplay.  The bright lime green of the alien is the best part of this set to show off.

CONCLUSION & FINAL ANALYSIS | Score: 7

Overall, this was a quick and easy set to assemble, but the fun is certainly in the imagination rather than the build.  The adventure potential is high, especially when combined with other similar space sets.
