MEMBER OWNS SET: YES     MEMBER HAS BUILT SET: YES

FIRST IMPRESSION | Score: 8

When I first saw this set, I thought I really wanted it because I recently started collecting the seasonal sets and other 400xx sets. I also wanted it because it was around Halloween when I bought it and, of course, it is a Halloween themed set.

UNIQUE PARTS | Score: 6

This set contains no minifigures. However, it does contain lots of orange parts. 44 of the 52 parts are orange! There are also two dark green, one forest green, four brick yellow, and one other piece.

PLAYABILITY/BUILD EXPERIENCE | Score: 4

This set has a very simple, 16-step build, which is very quick. This set does not have very good playability and it is primarily for display.

VALUE FOR MONEY | Score: 7

This set contains 52 pieces, and was priced at $4.99. It does have a fairly good value at $0.10 a piece, but not as good as sets such as 40053 Easter Bunny With Basket, at 96 pieces and also $4.99 retail.

THEME POPULARITY | Score: 9

The seasonal theme sells particularly well around the holidays that it has sets for. These sets are very rare and sell for a limited time, so they make good investments with good value.

EXCLUSIVITY | Score: 9

This set was a LEGO Exclusive, however, It is also available from private selllers like on eBay and BrickLink. It is also a seasonal set that is available for a limited time during the year, for this set, one month.

PACKAGING | Score: 6

This set comes packaged in a medium sized polybag, like most seasonal sets.

GROWTH POTENTIAL | Score: 9

Since this set is a limited edition seasonal set, its value is likely to grow over the next few months.

DISPLAY QUALITY | Score: 3

This set does not display well. The primary reason for this is it is square. I mean, what kind of pumpkin is square? It also could have used better SNOT (Studs not on Top) techniques.

CONCLUSION & FINAL ANALYSIS | Score: 5

This set is average, with a lot of orange pieces, an avarage playability, a good value for money, a high exclusivity, a high predicted growth potential, and not-so-good display attributes. If you are a polybag or 400xx set collector, buy this set. if you want good playability, you might want to consider another set.
