FIRST IMPRESSION | Score: 10

It was my first Lego set, I loved it!   After so many years and many "house" sets I've seen, I still think it's one of the best.

UNIQUE PARTS | Score: 8

It's Basic set, so can't say there is anything really unique in it.  But it has everything you may want to make a great home scene: 2 minifigures (male and female), furniture and dishes, parts to make a car, a tree and flowers, arches, gates, umbrella... Impressive for a small set.

PLAYABILITY/BUILD EXPERIENCE | Score: 10

The brochure gives you six detailed instructions, 4 of them are for different houses.  But there are more ideas on the box and the last page of the instructions.   All are nice and inspiring!  Even if you have a favorite one, I'm sure you'd like to make every one of them, at least once.

VALUE FOR MONEY | Score: 10

I have no idea how much this set costed back then, but now it would be somewhere between sets like Creator Log Cabin 5766 (355 Piece set) and Creator Apple Tree House 5891 (539 Piece set).  Comparing to the 5891, the old and smaller set gives you much more variety, so I still like it better then the modern sets.

THEME POPULARITY | Score: 7

Sets like this one would be a part of Creator theme now.  It's one of the classic LEGO themes, so it's evergreen and great for kids. But is not the best investment idea, unless you buy Creator sets with some good discount.

EXCLUSIVITY | Score: 6

I don't think it was an exclusive set.  More like any regular Creator houses these days.

PACKAGING | Score: 10

Old boxes were just great!   A lid and clear plastic window,  sorter bins inside, several pictures with additional building ideas - not just a plain box with nothing but several sealed bags inside.

GROWTH POTENTIAL | Score: 6

It's a very old set, and not any kind of licensed theme or so.  Hard to say.  Do I need to?

DISPLAY QUALITY | Score: 8

It's nice, just like most Lego houses.  Big plus for the details.

CONCLUSION & FINAL ANALYSIS | Score: 10

This set is from the time when LEGO didn't cut corners.  It has less then 400 pieces, but includes everything kids need to start playing right away - a house, 2 minifigures, a car, several furniture pieces, cups and pots, you name it!  Not like some modern Creator houses, which have no minifigures or no parts to make a car for the house with the garage.   Even the old-style box itself was great, not just a box you'd through away right after you open it.
