FIRST IMPRESSION | Score: 7

The outer box photo was intriguing and made me want to rush home and open it and start building. I own most of the monster fighter sets, but this set said "BUY" me!!

UNIQUE PARTS | Score: 7

The set comes with four (4) minifigures:

Dr. Rodney

Major Quinton Steele

The Crazy Scientist: Great looking mad scientist, I loved the Einstein hair do made him fit the title

The monster: Frankenstien in a Lego minifigure!!

The one aspect of this set that stood out for me was the pulsating light brick.  Made this set unique, and felt like building a science lab!

PLAYABILITY/BUILD EXPERIENCE | Score: 9

I am not quite sure why this set has recieved such a low review score. I am an avid collector of legos. I build them and set them for dsplay. So with that said: When i do show off my sets to guests, this is one set that i pull out first.  The sliding monster table, and the pulsating beam of light seems to capture the attention of everyone i show this set to. Building the mechanical rotating mechanism in the tower was good, but when the tower was complete and i worked the mechanism i was so excited that i almost forgot to build the rest of the set.

VALUE FOR MONEY | Score: 7

As far as "bang for the buck" I would definately say, if you are paying more than 45.00 for this set, you may want to look elsewhere.

THEME POPULARITY | Score: 5

As far as the monster fighter theme is concerned, I am not 100% sure that it will be a favorite amongst collectors. There are many sets in the theme that are great, and fun to build. But I (speaking for myself) think that the theme was rushed.  Most of these sets seem to be based on the older LEGO studio sets. To many smaller sets that just do not seem to fit with the larger ones. Placement of these sets in a display is hard to make them "fit"

EXCLUSIVITY | Score: 6

For finding this set i had to look around. I finally found it at a local "Value store" where i do most of my lego shopping. I have not seen this at the local "Toys R Us" so as for being exclusive. Not sure i can say so.

PACKAGING | Score: 9

As with all newer lego sets. We have the standard 1,2,3,4..bag set up.

GROWTH POTENTIAL | Score: 6

Most of the larger building sets, would be favorable for collectors. And i would say they would appriciate over time. As for the smaller sets. i am not so sure they are going to be very sought after.

DISPLAY QUALITY | Score: 9

The "crazy scientist and his monster" displays Great!! and sitting next to the "vampyre castle" makes it look like the sets are almost one in the same. Almost like the lab is (or) could be an extension of the castle.

CONCLUSION & FINAL ANALYSIS | Score: 8

From purchase to display, this is a set that i would deffinately reccomend to others. Again it is a seriously unique build, and after building it i was quite sad that i was finished. i wanted to rebuild it as soon i was finished. Easy build, great display set, and definately a conversation piece.
