  1. So they gave some classic scenes from the original movie, and really fleshed out the minifigure line. The "big pile of sh!t" like truly deserved it's own set. All we need now is Gennaro in a toilet. The brachiosaurus looks better than I was expecting, but the lack of movement on the legs is disappointing. Also, a lot of Ellie figures. Could have swapped Alan in for the Triceratops set as I'd say his laying on the Triceratops was more important to the scene. But they went all in on making the turd the star of the show. She should have hands that match the glove color from when she dug into it.

  2. That’s why I decided to wait. I’ll definitely get this one, but the GWP offer was just silly for this. I would rather have just gotten double VIP points. A really cool GWP probably would have gotten me to buy it early.

  3. This is becoming the LEGO way now. Sad, my purchases have dropped off the map. I find many new sets nice, but then I see the price and find the hobby has gotten away from itself.

  4. Using a readily available set as gwp for $500 purchase was weird. Did LEGO plan a different gwp that did not pan out then used 40630 as last minute sub?

  5. Yeah, site is wonky in terms of navigating. Agree. I’m a sucker for the Cathedral. https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-1/376/Gothic-Cathedral

  6. If you were my neighbor, I'd be giving you eggs whenever you needed any. With our 14 chickens and winter coming to an end, the ladies have started laying again. We got a little over a handful of eggs a month during winter but we got 46 eggs over the past week!

  8. These all seem overpriced. Like the box art though.

  10. I love the cathedral as well, but fear there is a 0% chance it would ever get made. Lego steers clear of war and religion.

  11. I like the Library. Lot of junk there, they need to tighten up the standards somehow.

  12. right after the start I could have given likes from the overview but now only from detail which is pretty uncomfortable

  13. The Cathedral is one of my favorites like others said. I also like the Parisian-Street because I think it would be a good one to resell lol... https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-1/323/Parisian-Street

  14. Out of all of the medieval ones, I liked this one best. Looks like it might even be able to be integrated into a city with a little creativity… https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-1/346/Medieval-Market

  16. You can put 96 to a page and it goes way faster. I'm not too impressed though. Was much better using the ideas sets that got the votes but didn't get chosen as an official set by lego.

  17. 2 totally different types of promos. Blacktron was a limited high demand one that most stores ran out of. Those type usually do get sent back. The delivery truck was a highly producted high buy in set that had a lot left over. Only reason they held it back was there was another one right behind it with the 2nd wave of the world of houses. They usually don't allow 2 big ones to stack. They'll sometimes let smaller ones stack like say a year of rabbit and another better one. Basically will fill in delivery trucks whenever this is another lull in scheduled GWP's of that type. Pretty much do it year round with other ones too. Either way the delivery truck date ran out and the house started so they can say whatever they want and it all ends up the same for now.

  18. Bumping this topic with a, well, year later update I suppose looking at that post date. Oi. Not too far afterwards from then (like a couple months later), I ended up dropping close to forty pounds altogether. And I was already close to being underweight as it was. Changing my diet helped the most for certain. I never was one to eat a lot of sugar or fast food growing up. However, I did end up having quick meals for work and often afterwards as well. A number of microwave meals that were not as healthy as claimed to be. Not to mention a sedentary lifestyle formed by working in front of a computer at work and home leading to low blood pressure. Anyway, I did much research on my own using signs of deficiencies to narrow it down to food sources good in folate acids (vitamin B9), for testosterone, and providing zinc. There is some crossover and other factors, but this "trifecta" helped keep things simple for me. Eating predominately a lot of freshly frozen fruits across the board has been significant to my well-being. Plus, as I mentioned in a different thread, I rediscovered my joy of cooking. A process benefiting my physical and mental health ....and emotional health if I am honest. So, between all that and cutting out fatty foods and also managing to quit the soda (my one last vice), here I am. Lost forty pounds then gained about ten back in muscle through strength training and fitness. I imagine some of that earned back weight is 'healthy fat' odd as that may sound. (I read having less than 10% or 5% body fat is possible but feels horrible with general fatigue, constant hunger & thirst, lack of motivation, etcetera.) Overall, my body feels better and leaner with room for improvement. Now I am not above ever having a soda or bacon cheeseburger again. I just will do so in moderation. I mean, I am a moderator after all. Haha.
