Saw a flat of Lego at my TRU today and looks like the Bricktober sets are similar to last year's. Sorry if this is already posted, couldn't find anything on my phone.8 points

I really don't see the big deal. If you accept Paypal as payment you take 180 day returns. 30 days is standard for online retailers. You can still state no returns and give up the TRS discount, but in the end ebay and paypal policy trump your no return policy so you may as well sign up for the 30 days and get some discount. Glad they are finally taking a look at shipping time, and not postage printing time. 50% of my ebay purchases the sellers print postage and then wait one week to ship.4 points

For several years, I have felt like Ebay is attempting to compete with Amazon by trying to force their sellers to adopt the same things that Amazon offers. But unlike Amazon, none of the product or expensive shipping or employees are theirs. They are a marketplace who is trying to pretend that they are a big box retailer. It's ridiculous of them to make unilateral decisions for a very diverse cross section of users just because they monopolize the marketplace.3 points

using my tax exempt certificate is time consuming at tru and I usually have a lot of items to buy. Also I am not one to "hog" the cashier and have other customers wait in line behind me, many with kids and infants especially when they only have 2 registers open . Few dollars saved here and there isn't worth aggravating the employee or the customers . In the rare occasion I do multiple transactions , I usually go to the back of the line or walk around the store till the lines are gone .3 points

Seems to me that eBay is trying to "not be the bad guy" in the returns policy. I know PayPal does 180 days but that's not for "buyer changed their mind" type of reasons such as a general 30 days return policy. I still won't take returns "just because", I could care less about the discount... I just don't believe that eBay buyers deserve that from a small time seller like myself.3 points

Honestly I think there is a very real possibility that new boxes have nothing to do with what is retiring and what they will produce more of in the future. The new boxes are for the Creator line only as far as I can tell. So TLG has a new Creator logo design and they want uniformity in their Creator sets; the sets they just released and the sets they are about to retire. Not a big deal. I don't think TLG is saying to itself: "we have to produce x thousand more of x sets (Tower Bridge, Palace Cinema, T1, etc) because we just changed our logo!" I think they will go EOL at the exact same times as they otherwise would have.3 points

People are now getting banned outside the US. Buying five of this set in particular could cause red flags to be raised. It is an awesome set that will be highly sought after this Holiday season. Plus, why would a person need five of these sets unless they were being resold? A giant MOC? Doubt it. Five kids? Really!?! LOL2 points

The worst part is the f-ing blue rubber bands that they used, it makes no sense lol and a few of my stickers showed up with imperfections so way to go LEGO quality control2 points

Did you skip childhood? Kids love dinosaurs, and this is one of the most successful movies ever made and now Lego's first kick at this franchise. I don't see how dinosaurs can't yield much money. Buying and holding dinos seems far more lucrative than most superhero sets since they are now regularly recycling the same characters, plus you can quick flip them right now2 points

Yeah i've been selling bundles of creator and starter sets which I picked up at 1.70 each. Been selling them BIN in bundles of 4 @ £24.95. Thought I'd put a few bundles on auction at .99p start > last 2 have sold for + £30. The wonders of ebay eh. My mate had an even better one though. He had some old converse on BIN or best offer @ £13. Best offer comes in at £16 . ...accepted thanks.2 points

Halloween is far different than Easter and Valentines day. People spend money on this holiday for decorations. This set is adorable. This set is one of the few traditional Lego sets to feature a girl as the main (only) character. This set will have a limited run as it is seasonal. This set is a good value at a $9.99 entry point. This set will be far more collectible than the Monster minifigures are at the end of the day. The masses, will not be aware of this set as it is limited distribution. All IMHO but I bought five from SAH and plan to add five more from a B&M store close by. The pumpkin and the bat were okay but I wasn't moved by them. This one grabbed at me as soon as I saw it.2 points

will take the return policy any day after no more feedback, resolved cases, low DSR and other BS. This is a huge win for sellers. If someone is going to return they will find a way regardless so its not like it will change much. The score though affects you much more and not having that anymore is a big win. Never had a cancelled transaction and a seller unresolved case is almost 0 as well so TRS will be a walk in the park.2 points

It's not a matter of being able to offer a 30-day return, it's that 30 days is the new minimum. Until this goes in effect, the minimum is 14 days. I don't mind 14 days. I believe it's a bit ridiculous myself, but I offer it as a means to be a top rated seller. But 30 days? I don't think so. Honestly, shouldn't a buyer know within 30 seconds of opening a box if it needs to be returned? If I do this new 30 day return policy, I will have some strict rules listed in my ads, so that only a shipping company mistake will be returnable. I'm thinking along the lines of, "Returns will only be allowed for items not matching description or damaged product. If shipping box is damaged, please take pictures of box before opening."2 points

That's a joke, most actual retailers don't offer 30 days... Could be a nightmare for the QF'rs? Things being returned when it becomes available again, cheaper.2 points

Reply and help them out because it didn't fit your TV and it was an honest mistake. I would want the same courtesy if I were the seller.2 points

Grabbed a Poe's X-Wing for $45 and a Friends Advent Calendar for $21 at TRU. TRUTH, plus 20% off, plus $20 in Rewards. I wasn't going to pick up any SW sets right now, but at $45, and having a bad day at work, I decided I'd do it.2 points

Anyone else get a random tracking number from LEGO? Haven't bought anything online in awhile (outside of the RE's) I got in today so I'm hoping its the Bat-Pod.1 point

Don't call, and don't buy those. You don't need those. These are not the Lego you are looking for.1 point

Might not be hammer related - could be a security check, for example.1 point

This might be of interest to someone. TRU £10 voucher for every £40 spend in store. Could be useful if your after some CMF or buy 4 ectos get one free etc. Havnt really had a chance to have a proper look yet to see if theres any good deals this could be used with. It might however stack with the £20 spend on Lego sticker offer ( 4 stickers gives you a £20 voucher). So for example if you bought 4 City Swamp Police Station (60069) all separately @ £40.99, you would get x4 £10 vouchers and 4 stickers giving you another £20 voucher. £60 back for a £120 spend. (I have only picked this set because of its price point, buy what you want etc) Obviously this could be applied to any set or any mixture of sets as long as you spend £40 each transaction. If you guys find anything really good post it up, I had enough of looking tonight. I'm gonna check this out tomorrow, see if the sticker promo is still going. Happy hunting lads Here's the link. http://www.toysrus.co.uk/toys The dates: "You will qualify for a free £10 Gift Coupon when you spend £40 or more on any Toys 'R' Us and Babies 'R' Us items, in a single online transaction from 4pm Friday 11th September to Midnight Thursday 17th September 2015 only."1 point

I figured that might be my best bet but it is seriously in the worst part of town. I dont have the ghetto look so I really stick out. Last time I went a guy asked if I wanted someone to watch my car. I asked why and he said well your car is really nice and for $5 while you are shopping I will promise you it will be here when you get back. He also pointed out that the cameras in the lot havent worked in years. I cant imagine what he would want to charge if I did have a really nice car. Nothing wrong with my accord just always figure there is something better in the lot to take.1 point
