Where does it say this is only $10.00? Online it is $17.99...

It's only $10 in store.  The one close to my work had quite a few left in a number of sections, though only one advertised the sale price.  The rest said $21.99 though they scanned at $10.  I just got one for my son, as he has the previous tanker and loves it.

The City: Tanker Truck space on the shelf with the sign advertising the $10 sale was empty, but I found 7 on an end cap.  I bought 3 and it's an extra good deal today, since you get 10% off on top.  I combined them with a Vampyre Castle purchase. I'll post the details in the "What Lego did I buy today" thread.  I ended up getting the VC and 3 Tanker Trucks for $85.39 and left with another $10 gift card.

Both of my stores had a limit of 2 per customer. I picked up two at both. The one only had 3 and the one I left on the shelf had a badly damaged box. The other TRU only had 2 left, so I got the last ones. However, I was able to pick up two retired technic sets (two 8065's, the Technic Mini Container Truck for $12). Also, I picked up a Garbage Truck 4432 by mistake, and upon scanning learned it was ringing at $13. There were no more, and no place for them on the counter anywhere I could see. The TRU web page has them at $24 and the LEGO Shop at Home has them at $20. Go figure. I grabbed that one too.

Rounded my two purchases out with a few of the Technic mini off roaders to qualify for the $50 spending to get a free $10 GC.

Yes, my store had a 2 tanker truck limit per customer, at least it rang up that way.  The checkout girl did an override, so I could get my 3rd and qualify for the $10 off $100 purchase, probably because she didn't want to deal with me.   Actually, one of the checkout girls I deal with quite often was behind her and helping her out, so I think she did it just to make it less painful for training purposes.
