Im looking for Ideas for my next MOC Modular Building, i want to build something that is fun and interesting, but i dont want to put all that time and money into it and then have Lego release a similar type of build. Example, i was in the process of designing a theater last year and then they released the Cinema...guh! Vote for what you think is cool and lego probably wont ever make. Also feel free to post other ideas. Church - Im sure they will avoid religion, would be a fun design Pharmacy - Would make for a nice ground floor shop with an apartment above Bank - Would be cool to build a bank vault but i feel there is a chance lego might make this Butcher Shop - Fun reason to add some cows, goats, pigs, into my town haha Ice Cream Shop - Nice ground floor shop, with apartment above, lots of ice cream related food pieces Warehouse/Factory - Kind of boring but a good excuse to use barrel and build a delivery truck and train tracks Auto Repair/Gas Station - Every city needs this, may not fit into the tall skyline builds well Brewery - Lego usually avoids adult subjects like alcohol, but im thinking a fun build, could have a warehouse type feel Hospital - Lego might build one, although most hospitals are much larger than would easily fit with the series Police Station - A very likely lego build one day Post office - Another likely build but would fit the city well as like every set has a mail box. Just thought of the following... Library/Museum - Lots of books, idols, and trophy pieces

I highly doubt LEGO would make a Twin Towers modular although that would be an AWESOME SET!!!!!!!

hmm well maybe something a little less depressing.

BTW im going for a 1930s era style to fit the current modular buildings.

Dental surgery?

reception and office on the ground floor, dental rooms above.

There is one in the town near me that is on 4 floors with a wide curving staircase and loads of small rooms a narrow corridors

thats a good idea, kind of has the hospital feel without having to be a MASSIVE building like a hospital that would never be located on a downtown street.

Honestly....a Pharmacy? Take grandma to get her meds refilled before a night out at the movies, what kid wouldn't want to do that. It could be done well, but I don't see lego doing it. You have some good ideas though, I could see them doing... Bank Butcher Shop Ice Cream Parlor Auto Repair/Fueling Station Police Station Post Office As for the rest... Church - I'd be pretty surprised, but hey if they did make Jabba's Palace, and that was a religious site as well Brewery - Not on your life, but it would be neat if they made a pub, Lego doesn't have a problem illustrating drunkenness at times (Hobbit Barrel Escape) Warehouse - I don't see this making into production, there are too many people at Lego with business smarts enough to know that this probably wouldn't get produced (would you rather have a town hall or a warehouse?)

i feel like a butcher shop, with cows/pigs out back, a bloody chopping room and t-bone steak pieces in the store may be a bit to violent for Lego haha

A pub would be cool, but i guess the Cafe kind of covers this, well atleast my Cafe Corner has a bar in it :)

I would like to see the bank, personally. I think the hospital has been done. I don't remember where I saw it, but someone is selling instructions. I did think it was a little weird-looking being so tall and narrow like the other buildings. Then again, when I was little, the hospital in the town where we lived was like that, one of a row of buildings downtown. And it could have been that way since the 30's. (I'm not quite THAT old... ;-) ) If you do do a building that Lego wants to do later, isn't there a chance they might adopt yours? Just a thought. I like the warehouse idea, too -- for people who want to re-create a different part of town, lol.

Surprisingly enough, I like the factory idea. If the interior was detailed enough, I would make my LEGO people manufacture Legos. Or I would make a storage warehouse for my Lego sets constructed from bricks like an Amazon Warehouse (not deals!) and have them piled all around. Probably after that I would take a picture from the floor of the warehouse and show it off to people telling them that I had so many Legos I could make a warehouse out of LEGOs and make the ground even look like LEGOs. LOL. I am pretty sure that TLG will never make a butcher shop, because that is not "the sort of image that the LEGO Group" wants to have. They are more of a "Sunny Acres Farm" than a "White-washed Slaughterhouse". ;) Just saying....

Never ever in a bazillion years will Lego touch a Church. The Brewery though may happen if they do it up like a soda pop brewery or whatever they call the factory that makes them. (I still can't seem to find an answer for that even with Wikipedia.) Truthfully, I would like to see an Ice Cream Shoppe or Candy Store.

Since the exterior is 1930's inspired, you should do a speakeasy complete with false walls, a gambling room and a bar. The lower level could even be a garage for delivery trucks or a getaway vehicle...

Thats a cool idea, would make for a fun playable interior, would also go well with the brewery, which could be operating secretly haha.

Right now my city is located in europe late 1930s pre WWII, basically i needed a place to display my tank so i tossed it in the middle of the street.

I suppose speakeasys were more of a US thing since their proliferation were driven by Prohibition which never occurred in Europe.

You're welcome to take some artistic license, though...

'

Well the only thing that makes it set in europe is the German panzer and the russian t-34, even then it doesnt make sense that they are sittign next to each other peacefully lol

Perhaps the US military was running urban military drills in the 30s, and was utilizing these two as mock enemies. All you would need is another 1-2 US tanks (M-3 Stuarts, perhaps) and you could stage a nice military drill in downtown 30's Chicago...

They need a old school casino...a strip club would be cool too! Just my opinion. Lol

...You know you have problems when Lego parts start coming together in your head on how the pole and minifig would look....and how it would be so awesome with power functions.
