There have been a good deal of sellers dumping these "genuine" parts on eBay. My assumption is that someone found themselves a copy of a Darth Vader mold and is distributing them. And based on sold listings... they're selling a decent amount of them. Any chance that Lego actually made this many random translucent Darth Vader figures? There are similar translucent minifigure parts being sold out of Singapore. Some Ebay sellers are calling them prototypes.
