As under whelming as the Star Wars 2020 sets are, at least they are better than the 2020 Super Heroes set.  I might pick up one or two SW sets for personal builds but the SH sets are LAME.

Just took a look and WOW - you aren't kidding. Now we know what happens when there are no imminent movies to guide set design. Bad stuff.

lol, ikr.  I honestly had to look three times at the Thanos Mech.  I originally thought it was a constraction character and laughed thinking LEGO hadn't learned their lesson from the SW fail.  It wasn't until I realized they were all mechs that I went back to the Thanos set: mech w/ an infinity gauntlet on it AND a new Thanos MINI-figure.  Wow is right...

The Bantha looks interesting....

Wonder if they will ever make a Bantha that is similar to the wampa or dewback they made.

Regardless, looks like the Star Wars theme will remain in the boring rehash cycle..  2019 was fairly boring, IMO.  Nothing too exciting.  The new Kylo Ren's shuttle was the only bright spot, and that was a complete rehash but at least done correctly this time.  Everything else has been a bit lackluster for the normal regular non-ucs or "master builder" sets.  Basically it seems like their new goal is to rehash a bunch of sets, and just add new minis that are mostly just variants of characters.

I saw a German youtuber with a list of summer Star Wars sets saying there is a General Grievous ship ($70 or $80) and AT-AT ($160) coming out this summer as well.

Several more $20-$30 clone wars sets coming out as well.

Excited about the AT-AT.  Though at $160 hopefully it will be a little bigger and detailed than the 2014 model which I believe was $110 RRP.  That or maybe it will also include a small snowspeeder which is fine.

Meh. Another AT-AT.  I was hoping for a $160 Ghost as the ship has been subtle inserted into Rogue One and Ep 8.  Plus, it seems the original one was created just for the carton w/o much thought.  E.g.  Not much play area for kids like the new Falcon.

we don’t need another AT-AT unless it's UCS sized.

Sure.  But as with the Falcon they need to release a system scale model every few years for those that missed out on the last one.  And doing the math, it will be six years between the last one.

The new AT-AT reminds me of the MFs.  A new one every two years, price keeps going up.  At least with the MF they finally made a substantial change to it, but I doubt I'll buy one.  How much improvement can they make to the AT-AT?  Unless they come out with a true UCS version.

The AT AT, ISD, MF, X Wing are the 4 OT meal tickets they have to dine out on and will always be under threat of being remade. ISD is the only one that might escape a remake this year yet has been the longest off the market. If they don´t do one for September, it will happen in 2021.

when you begin thinking about "all of it" - you soon realize that the best thing is to start quick flipping at 20-30 % gain. Nothing is safe from depreciation.

500 USD FBA is probably 9  times what these guys were buying them for 4 years ago. That it has withstoos 75189 in itself is amazing.

Great. Now Ive been looking forward to the "general" objective regarding the entire SW theme..  as I can see that many members on this thread have been quite consistent with the terms such as "TURDS"

VAL-E..how many SW sets have you REALLY sold in the past 5 yrs that you have such a GREAT and unquestionable position to issue a  LEAD comment - on everything SW related?

No theme is 100% turds, even TLM2 has sets that turn a profit if bought at RRP. The 4 big OT SW sets mentioned are being rehashed because there is a market for them and you can still make money on them if your buy-in is low enough and there is enough of a gap in launch between sets or enough difference between models.

I haven´t sold a SW set at a loss yet and double buy-in is the objective, anything more is a bonus.

Supposedly we're getting a 501st Battlepack with 4 regular 501st Troops & 2 Droids & 1 BARC Speeder & 1 Walker for 30 bucks RRP.

Also General Grievous starfighter & AT-AT (old news), an AT-TE (excited!), a Stormtrooper & a Boba Fett bust (also old news), Anakin's starfighter, a blue Clone Wars style AAT & a Snowspeeder.

I don't know if this stuff is true, he says he has his sources.

From what I have seen, there is nothing related to the Mandalorian, besides a Brickheadz Mando & Yoda. How is this possible? Razor Crest would be instant gold (the BHZ set will be too) but only that one set? I'm holding out for that 1% chance that the sets related to Mandalorian could be covered or something as I am much more interested in those than the crap that has been mentioned so far. ATAT for $160, AAT, Anakin Interceptor, whatever the hell a Night Buzzard is, etc. Not a single new idea
