Nice article.  The polyethylene plants are just a start, but speaking from experience with polyethylene products...they deteriorate and break down.  While LEGO is not using them for their main bricks, how can one truly know how some non-ABS plastic will hold up after 10 or 15 years?  If LEGO bricks start to deteriorate, the company is done.  This is a great marketing scheme in my opinion.  Say that you are "going green," but not really...
