Hoping someone can help me...I am trying to find the name of a lego set so I can download the instructions, but I don't know anything about it!

It had several sections, joined together with lots of shelves with potions, crystals, eggs other random things on them. The sections kind of made a half circle.

I hope someone knows what I'm talking about from my vague description! I thought it might have been a fantastic beasts set, but my googling has come up with nothing!

	TIA

Hi all. New to Australia and looking for info regarding shipping items.

A few questions I can think of:

Can I print my own shipping labels? If so, is it cheaper, more expensive or the same?

Is using Aus Post boxes ever a cheaper way of doing it? There’s a couple of sets that will fit nicely in the medium box, but box plus shipping appears to be in the $15 range.

If I sell on eBay, is purchasing shipping through them cheaper than going through Aus Post?

Is there a carrier that beats Aus Post? Like, maybe in certain situations?

Is there a good supplier of boxes for shipping that I should know of?

I appreciate any help you guys and gals can provide. And please don’t hesitate to give me info to questions I didn’t think of.

So guys im buying some lego with the purpose of keeping it brand new and sealed and unused to sell for a profit about 1 or 2 years afters its discontinued. Would opening the box decrease the value? I assume it would but then i think of what if the box is missing people and you sell it to somebody after its been discontinued and they cant get replacement parts or instructions from lego anymore? Could it somehow be smarter to build the lego once then bag it up again just to ensure everything is there? If anybody has experience in this please let me know your thoughts and what i should do.

	Hello,

I am helping my son sell of his LEGO collection. It is mostly City sets with some others. We have all the manuals but the bricks are mixed together so won't split. These sets have generally been assembled once and then disassembled. They should be complete but I can't guarantee. I would say it is realistic to expect that most sets are complete but some may have a piece or three missing! Manuals are mostly ok but some have loose pages and dog ears on the corners.

Below you will find a word document with a list of the sets.

The price next to each set is what I could find the sets available for at the low end on ebay in boxed/unused condition. The price is a guide and is not intended as an idea of actual value. Total new cost is around $3500.

Face to face deal preferred in Melbourne CBD, Mornington Peninsula or most places between the two.

	Looking for an offer c.$500.

Good afternoon brains trust. Just had my first buyer put their address as a Click & Collect from Big W. I often use Sendle for parcels as they're cheaper than Aus Post in a lot of cases. Has anyone used them for a click and collect order?

Im interested to hear peoples opinions, the 20% off is actually way more, based on lego.com/au prices which are terrible.

Examples:
Grindelwald's Escape 75951
$22.40 from $40

Snoke's Throne Room
$53.65, $100 on lego.com/au

Harry Potter minifigure series
$3.50 instead of $5.99
I found this price is actually lower than the cost of buying a box of 60 from bricklink assuming bricklink shipping cost is zero (which its not).
So seems great to me. You can only buy max 10 of them.

Ninjago Dragon Pit 70655
$108.16 from $200

Sandcrawler 75220
$125.00 from $200

You can also use the shopback rewards for 6% cashback.

Im not saying all these sets are great, Snoke set has bad reviews, Ninjago..
Hey.

So some of you may remember me from awhile ago, I was one of the people in Perth WA during the BigW sale who went to almost every store and purchased all of there UCS Sandcrawlers.
My plan was to hold it for 2 years then sell, but as i am travelling indefinately abroad, and finding myself wanting to invest in something else, i have decided to try to find a bulk buyer who will buy all my lego units so i can use the money to invest elsewhere.

I have around 5-6 75059 Sandcrawlers left, but i have also some other smaller and larger sets.
Here is a small example.

75135 Star WarsObi-Wan's Jedi Interceptor x6
75136 Star WarsDroid Escape Pod x2
75060 Star WarsSlave I x3
41101 Friends Heartlake Grand Hotel x5
75827 GhostBusters Firehouse Headquaters x2

I have a big spreadsheet.
Anyway. If you are interested, please send me a message here. I can send you a list of all the units i have, and what is the minimum price i am expecting on them.
Pickup will be near Garden City Shopping Centre, You will be dealing with my mother as i am not in the country anymore.
Thanks

I'm new to this forum, so please excuse me if my questions has been answered somewhere else.

I'm compiling a spreadsheet of all of the sets I've bought in the last few years, so I can compare how much I spent on them with the Australian RRP to figure out how much I've saved/overspent, and if I decide to sell any of my collection, I can keep track of the profit/loss I made on each set. I only found out about this site recently, so I realise that I could do a similar thing with the brickfolio, although I'm having issues with the bulk import from Brickset, as it is importing the prices as USD, not AUD (I'm not sure if this is just a display issue or an actual bug). In any case, I have reservations about storing data on other websites, primarily in case they stop working, I lose all of my data.

I've managed to find the RRP of almost all of the sets I own from various sources (the Price Guide on here, The lego shop@home page, and Brickset's prices tab). Firstly, I've noticed that for a lot of the more recent sets, in the last couple of years, the Prices Guide on brickpicker is missing the AUD RRP. I sent a message to the Admin about this, but haven't heard anything from them, so I was curious to know how this data is updated? Also, I have a few older Technic sets which I could not find the RRP from any of these sources, and was wondering if anyone on this forum could help me with finding them?

The sets that I would like to find the AUD RRP for are:

 8063 - Tractor with Trailer - Released 2009 - USD RRP $99.99

 8274 - Combine Harvester - Released 2007 - USD RRP $69.99

 8284 - Dune Buggy/Tractor - Released 2006 - USD RRP $59.99

I may eventually be looking at selling some of my collection, and was wondering if I end up making a profit, what the tax implications are? Does anyone have any experience with this. Also, where is the best place to sell sets on, Bricklink, Ebay, Gumtree, etc, and what kind of postage costs am I looking at paying?

Seems like a well organized and smart bunch that are only targeting Lego, and are hitting the independent toy shops like Toy World. For the Lego experts (whom most of you are) - probably shouldn't be too difficult to spot the 'signs'....hopefully they get shut down soon - Lego theft on a large scale with obvious intent to sell, and hitting the smaller businesses does not sit well with me at all.

Whenever there is a new Ideas set that come out on LEGO Shop at Home, does it always appear on the shelves of Australia retailers such as Myer, DJ, TRU and toyworld etc a few months later?

Reason I am asking is that I don't like the price of the new BBT set on LEGO Shop at Home but yet not sure whether it will appear in shops here. I don't remember seeing the Birds Ideas set in store, and of course the RI is very much short live in existence. Ecto 1 is still around and so on. We all know what happened to Exo suits mania.

Even if it come in, the BBT set might not last long enough for a retailer to have a toy sale for some discounts advantage.

So what everyone's opinion on this?

Without worrying about postage, ebay and paypal fees I'm able to sell at a much lower price on Gumtree and still make more money than if I was selling on Gumtree. It seems like a win/win for the purchaser and the seller.

Case in point was 2 high speed passenger trains I got from Amazon UK for AU$132 shipped. I sold both of these on Gumtree within a week for $165, netting me $33 profit for each train. To get the same profit on Ebay, assuming shipping is $25 and the buyer uses Paypal, I would need to sell the item for $217 (with free shipping for the buyer). As the retail on this item is $230 I would find it near on impossible to sell on Ebay at that price.

Both buyers seem quite suspicious at first, I think they must assume the goods are stolen to be sold for that cheap compared to retail prices. I said both times I'm an adult collector who needs to cut back on the collection, which seemed to put them at ease. Also I let them pick up from my residential address rather than meeting them in a dodgy carpark somewhere.

Do many others on here sell on Gumtree and what are you finding are the pros and cons?
