This set provides the first look at the mini figures that have been done to resemble the characters from the Dark Knight Batman movie franchise. Batman has a completely new body, and is a great addition to any mini figure collection. There is also a new, more human looking version of Bane, much different from the cheesy old comic version. Commissioner Gordon also makes his debut, and is a nice little Gary Oldman reproduction.

A lot of people are crying foul about the Tumbler in this set. Many complain that it is too small, and under-detailed. A lot of folks got spoiled on the 7888 Tumbler from 2008. That thing was awesome, but it was also the focus of the set. This new Tumbler is Bane's vehicle, not Batman's. The real focus is on "The Bat," Batman's new half-car, half-aircraft vehicle. I thought it was very well done, and fun to build.

There is no exclusivity factor here. This set is widely available at all big box retailers and online shopping stops. But fans of Batman will eat it up for the newest version of Batman, and a previously unseen Bat-vehicle. Some sets have that super value feel, and others feel like ripoffs for the cost. This one falls more in the middle. It is a good enough value for the most part. It comes in at just under 11 cents per piece, and that is pretty solid.

Overall, this is a set that all fans of Batman or the Super Heroes line are going to want to pick up. It may not have much appeal outside of that. But that's not saying much...there are a lot of Batman fans.
